WHY THE OXYGEN RESPONSE SYSTEM?
TRIED TESTED & A PERSONAL GUARANTEE
Boyd’s One Stop is well known as the “Live Shrimp Capital of Texas” since we always have them available. We buy and sell more live shrimp than probably anyone on the Gulf Coast, not to mention, the croakers, mullet, mudfish and piggies. After years of searching to find better ways to haul live bait we have introduced a cost effective and reliable solution.
We have designed an oxygen system to store tens of thousands of live bait annually, with the lowest mortality rate we’ve yet encountered. We have taken our designed oxygen system, sized it down and created a durable, economical system, which will make your bait the liveliest you’ve ever encountered. known as “THE OXYGEN RESPONSE”, it is our response to better bait. We have three tank sizes, and two valve types available with a list of information so you can size your system to fit your need.
We sell the following systems:
CGA 870 system complete for $200 (see below).
CGA 540 system for $200 (see below).
OK, the price is too cheap and that usually means a poorly built system, not in this case.
This system is well manufactured with quality parts. Both types of these regulators, as well as the bottles are built right here in USA.
KNOW IT S PURPOSE
I am going to be completely honest with you; oxygen does not remove ammonia and other harmful toxins in the water. Oxygen does however; bring stress levels down so that it takes these poisons longer to reach toxic levels. The solution is to make periodic water changes, depending on the temperature, every three to twenty-four hours.
OUR RECOMMENDED SCALE
Water Temperature Recommended Water Changes
60 degrees 1 or 2 times a day
60-70 degrees every 9-12 hours
71-75 degrees every 5-8 hours
76-80 degrees every 4-6 hours
80 and above every 3-4 hours
Using the scale above and a good source of water exchange and salinity at 12-26 ppt, you should be able to live your bait for days with the Oxygen Response System.
** Depending on the condition of the bait when purchased, (This is the biggest factor, especially with Croaker) **
CROAKER INFORMATION
You cannot buy weak croaker, mullet, or other bait fish and expect to revive them with any oxygen, antibiotics, CPR, etc. It has been tried and it will not happen.
Also water clarity is important. It seems the clearer your water, the cooler it stays. Which keeps stress and toxic levels low. Which keeps your bait strong.
** From my experience, clearer water is better water. **
KEEPING BAIT LONG TERM
Water exchanges will prevent unbalanced PH, ammonia and toxic build up. Your bait dealer should provide you with all the water you need for your exchange with a smile.
** Remember the quality of the water says a lot about the quality of their bait. **
OUR DIFFUSERS VS POINT FOUR ULTRA-FINE DIFFUSERS
We make our own ring diffusers that produce superfine micro-bubbles. The comparison between our diffusers and the Point Four ultra diffuser will surprise you. I have hauled thousands of pounds of bait this year with both and I will tell you the truth, I have not noticed ANY difference in the mortality percentages between the two. Our micro-fine diffuser is a special ordered, extra thick hose that produces micro fine bubbles. It should not clog or corrode and will last for years. The best part is if you if you do find a way to destroy it, it cost $25 to replace vs. $55 to $75 for the Point Four Diffuser
** By the way, do not drop your Point Four Diffuser Stone ** IT WILL BREAK
GET WHAT YOU WANT
Here at Boyd’s the Point Four Stones are available for around $70. Point Four ultra fine diffuser stones work incredible well. The best stone made that I’ve found. The imitation oversea replicas just won’t hold up to the harsh environment that saltwater diffusers need to endure. Even the Point Fours will give you problems over time. Think about it, Pure Oxygen + Salt Water on Aluminum = recipe for corrosion. They will clog over time as well. It is a well-designed, well-built product. However, saltwater is ruthless. Please understand that I’m just stating what I’ve found through my experience.
WE REFILL
By the way, we do refill your bottles ranging from $5 to $8 (E Series Bottles are $10) at the store. We DO NOT sell medical oxygen only industrial grade. We sell our oxygen systems for the sole purpose of you having the best bait you can have in the world. Let our Oxygen Response be the response you have been looking for.
